4th of July Lake Bluff, IL Independence Day Parade

It’s the time of year again to celebrate our Nation’s independence, and represent the proud Fox Nation at the same time. On Monday, July Fourth we will walk and ride on our newly refurbished float, and hand out candy as well as recruitment flyers for new potential members along the parade route.

This is a fun and exciting event for the kids as they get to ride on our float in front of their friends and family along the parade route. Face painting will be available at the float staging area. Arrive there early to have your face painted by our older Indian Princesses. Please see the logistics document and parade map for all the details.

  • Where: Float position 29 in the float staging area on East Center Street (see parade map above)
  • When: Arrive at the float at 9:45am.
  • What to Bring:
    • Your Vest
    • Your Fox Nation T-Shirt
    • Sunscreen
    • Ice cold water
    • Your pride for our Country and for our organization

Lives of the Voyageurs event – Oct 10

Go back to early Lake County as 18th-century French voyageurs lead activities on land and water. Discover why voyageurs traveled to Illinois in the 1740s and learn their effect on natural and cultural development. Weather permitting, paddle our 34-foot canoe across the lake and back in time.

As a special addition to the program, a member of the Ojibwe tribe will be present to teach our Braves and Princesses about how the Native Americans traded with the Voyageurs and how it changed their lives forever.

Download the waiver here. A waiver must be completed and brought with for each family attending. Father and child may share the same waiver. This event is being held at Independence Grove in Libertyville. Click here for more information on the specific location, and to add it to your calendar.

Due to the size of our group, there are two sessions being held. One from 9:00am to 10:30am, and another from 10:30am to Noon. Choose the best that works for you.
