2017 Winter Campout: Jan 27 – 29

Mighty Fox Nation, please save the date for this year’s Winter Camp Out being held January 27 through 29 at Camp Anokijig.

Last year was an awesome time. The kids loved the snow – it made Camp Anokijig even more a magical place than it already is.

Look forward to a weekend filled with tubing, sleigh rides, broom ball, frozen milk-jug curling, ice skating, ice fishing, arts and crafts, bowling, and swimming. Yes, swimming. We rent the Sheboygan high school pool out. They have diving boards and a water slide also. Hopefully we will be able to welcome our favorite Ojibwe Indian to camp, Brian Bearshadow and his wife Carla.  As always, campfire fun and winter adventure is at the core of our winter campout experience.  We’re still trying to solidify plans for Saturday night’s dinner, but there may be an additional function that we add this year. Stay posted for more information.

For those new members who have never experienced a winter camp out, it is a truly unique experience and a great mix of indoor fun and outdoor winter activities.
